Suspect arrested for alleged assault

29-year-old Cory Hopson was arrested last night in Elk Grove for allegedly assaulting an adult and two juveniles.

According to Elk Grove Police reports, Hopson was at the adult victims apartment when a physical altercation took place. Hopson struck the adult victim several times in the stomach.

One of the juveniles who was attempting to call 911 on their cell phone was grabbed by the wrist and was thrown against a wall by Hopson. Hopson also allegedly punched the other juvenile victim in the face. The adult victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

Hopson was arrested and transported to the county jail.
