Elk Grove, CA – As the Elk Grove City Council and City Administration begin preparing the Fiscal Year 2009-10 budget, the City is launching an extensive public outreach program to gather input from the residents of Elk Grove.
A series of public workshops will be held throughout the City of Elk Grove during January and February. Next week, Special City Council meetings will take place at the following venues:
Monday, January 26
Todo Un Poco (District 1)
9080 Laguna Main Street, Suite 1A, Elk Grove
6 p.m.
Thursday, January 29
Senior Center of Elk Grove (District 5)
8830 Sharkey Ave, Elk Grove
6 p.m.
Additional meetings will take place at 6 p.m. on Monday, February 2 (District 3), Wednesday, February 4 (District 2) and Wednesday, February 18 (District 4). Additional locations will be announced soon. Residents are encouraged to attend any meeting in any district.
Each town hall meeting will give residents an opportunity to dialogue with members of the City Council and City staff in order to learn more about the budget process and the City’s plans for the upcoming year. The format will allow for an open dialogue between the public and representatives from the City of Elk Grove.
Residents can also provide feedback at the January 28 City Council Meeting (8400 Laguna Palms Way, Elk Grove).
Feedback about the Fiscal Year 2009-10 budget can include:
· What is the most important priority for the City in FY 2009-10?
· What services would you like to see expanded in the budget?
· What services would you like to see reduced in the budget?
· What new services would you like the City Council to consider?
· What services would you like the City to discontinue?
· What positive or negative experiences with City services have you had?
· How can the City improve its services?
