Elk Grove Police Arrest Pair For Brandishing Shotgun

Elk Grove Police arrested two suspects last night after they brandished a shotgun. The incident happened at Orchard Park and Cedar Oak Way in Elk Grove.

According to police reports, Michael Matthews, 20, and Brandon Ortiz, 19, brandished the shotgun at three victims. When police arrived, the suspects had already left in a vehicle driven by Ortiz.

One of the victims had identified Ortiz and officers were able to obtain a possible address. Officers checked a residence on the 9600 block of Holley Glen Way and located Ortiz and Matthews along with the shotgun and ammunition.

Based on witness accounts, the suspects were arrested and transferred to county jail.
