Elk Grove, Sacramento County Sphere of Influence Session in Wilton This Thursday

The City of Elk Grove and Sacramento County will hold a sphere of influence session in Wilton this Thursday to seek input on Elk Grove's stated desire to annex unincorporated areas.

Thursday’s meeting will be held this Thursday at the C.W. Dillard Elementary School located at 9721 Dillard Road in Wilton.

Elk Grove seeks to expand it sphere of influence (SOI) be annexing large swath's of land to the city's east and south (see map). The community meetings are meant to hear public input on the proposed annexation.

One group, the Wilton Action Group (WAG), has already voiced opposition to the expansion. WAG views Elk Grove's move as an encroachment on the rural character of Wilton.

The meeting starts at 6:30 pm.
