Elk Grove Summer Farmers Market Kicks-Off This Thursday

Buy fresh, California-grown produce in Elk Grove’s only certified farmers’ market. The Cosumnes Community Services District is a proud partner with the Certified California-Grown Farmers’ Market to bring the summer markets back to Elk Grove Regional Park each Wednesday from 4-8 pm beginning May 13 and running through August 26.

Make the market your Wednesday night destination all summer long. Enjoy food, craft vendors and free children’s activities. Each week will feature a different theme. May through June themes include:

• May 13 Color Creation
• May 20 European Excursion
• May 27 Space Invasion
• June 3 Asian Adventure
• June 10 Surfs Up!
• June 17 African Adventure
• June 24 Clownin’ Around

This year’s market also includes new ways to stimulate the local economy and put a few more dollars in your wallet. The CSD has added an Economic Stimulus Sale, a swap meet area, to the first market of each month. Sales stalls are 15’x20’ or two parking spaces. Sales restrictions apply. Pre-registration is required. Cost per sale stall is $20 per market date or purchase the Summer Stimulus Plan: $60 for all four market dates.
