Elk Police Seek Help In Locating At Risk Person

The Elk Grove Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating 51-year-old Ricardo Cathey. Mr. Cathey is considered at-risk due to the fact that he is bipolar, suffering from depression and is not in possession of his medication. Family members also believe that Ricardo Cathey is suicida

Mr. Cathey is missing from his Elk Grove residence located in the 9000 block of Laguna Place Way. Mr. Cathey was last spoken to April 30, 2009 and is believed to have left his residence in a blue 2003 Ford Ranger license plate number 7F22981, which is registered to his wife.

Cathey is described as an African-American male adult, 5’11”, 190 lbs., black hair (graying in some areas) and brown eyes. At this time, there is no information available regarding the clothing that Mr. Cathey was wearing.

Mr. Cathey is known to frequent the Florin Road and Downtown areas of Sacramento. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Ricardo Cathey is asked to contact the Elk Grove Police Department Communications Center at (916) 714-5115.
