Elk Grove Police released the name of the suspect arrested yesterday in the stabbing death at the Extended Stay hotel in Elk Grove.
The suspects name is 25-year old Patrick Koenig. The suspect is being held in the county jail.
According to information from the county jail, Koeing has an outstanding misdeamnor warrant from Solano County. The suspect will be arraigned at Department 62 on Thursday afternoon at 1:30 pm.

Man Patrick I cant believe you would bring yourself to do something like this. it is very sad you could hurt your friend and family like that. That is not the Patrick i used to know. Patrick is a very good person or so i thought. i guess this is one of the reasons you dont drink liquor, you end up killing a friend and his family. i would like to say sorry to the victims family.
Fuck man I was just drinking with you and Eric outside and you guys wanted to run and get more beers I knew there was something wrong with the pic. So I just left 15 minutes later cops are everywhere I never thought you would do something dumb like this you guy should have just walked away. wow Patrick in a way I can believe that this happened. I separated from you because of the abuse I went through and the beautiful bite mark on my arm. So much that people don't know about you. And alcohol is not your best friend. I cant believe to hear that you went to his room and tried to steal from him as well. I would never wish the worst on anyone, but I do hope justice is served. My prayers are with Eric's family. I guess your dream is going to come true.

My prayers to Eric's family, this is truly sad. I went to Junior High & High School with him, he was like my brother and although we both had tempers and bumped heads here and there, he truly was a good person. I lost touch with Eric after High School, so if anyone is reading this, please get back to me on when his service and stuff will be, please just give me some info. Thank you so much. Eric was my first boyfriend..ever. We also dated in junior high as well, and I just can't imagine a world without him. He was the sweetest person, and everyone liked him. I only wish we had kept in touch. I send love and prayers to Eric's family, and I hope the person who did this gets raped repeatedly before they rot in hell.....
