Clerk suffers injury in armed robbery
The Save n Pack Food Store on the 9000 block of Elk Grove Boulevard in Elk Grove's Old Town section was robbed at gunpoint.
According to Elk Grove Police, the robbery occurred at 2:46 today with two suspects fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of currency in a tan or gold four door vehicle.
In the commission of the robbery, a store clerk sustained an non-life threatening injury after being stuck in the head.
The suspects are described as a Hispanic male wearing a white cap, a white or yellow jersey and a Black adult male wearing a white hat, dark t-shirt and dark jeans.
Detectives are on scene canvassing the area for additional witnesses and video surveillance. Anyone with information should contact the Elk Grove Police Department.
