It is expected there will be a large turnout of parishioners from Elk Grove's St. Maria Goretti urging the city council to approve their proposed church facility on Bradshaw Road.

Below is a copy of the letter distributed to parishioners urging their involvement. Parish priest Fr. Terry A. Fulton has urged parishioners from the pulpit to participate and have their voices heard. The letter posted below was recently distributed to parishioners.

Fulton, as well as many church supporters and the diocese attorneys have attempted to frame the issue as an constitutional issue. Specifically, they have said denial of the project would be a violation of First Amendment rights protecting freedom to practice religion.
