An Elk Grove women was arrested early Saturday morning following a domestic violence incident where she attacked her victim with a hammer.
According to police reports, 47-year old Jaime Piring was involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical conformation. During the course of the confrontation, Piring allegedly struck the victim in the head and arm with a hammer.
Piring fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers and the victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Officers later located the suspect at the residence where she was arrested and transferred to the county jail.
In another incident an Elk Grove Police officer was bitten by a women suspected of drunk driving.
According to police report, 41-year old Lihn Vo of Elk Grove was involved in single vehicle accident early Sunday morning. When officer contacted the suspect, she displayed objective signs of impairment.
When officers attempted to conduct a search, the suspect became combative and refused to follow instructions. As officers attempted to gain control of the suspect, she allegedly bit and officer’s forearm.
Additional officers responded and where able to gain compliance. The suspect was arrested and transferred to the county jail.
Officers also made three DUI arrests and one for an outstanding warrant during the three day weekend period.
