June 14 Flag Day and the City of Elk Grove announced is placement of three new flagpoles at City facilities
The City is proudly displaying three new flags at:
* Elk Grove City Hall, 8401 Laguna Palms Way, Elk Grove
* Elk Grove City Hall, 8400 Laguna Palms Way, Elk Grove
* Elk Grove Library, 8900 Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove
"Seeing an American flag flowing freely gives me goose bumps, as it not only represents our liberty and freedom, but honors those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for this nation," said Mayor Sophia Scherman. "The City is pleased to announce new flags in Elk Grove that pay tribute to this great country."
Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States, which happened on June 14, 1777.
