Enhancements to EGN

Last June when the current layout of EGN was unveiled, one regular reader commented how they liked the "labels" section on the left column. The label links were not shown on the previous layout.

The labels act as a sort of index to stories. A closer examination since we received that comment showed them to be quite extensive and very cumbersome.

To this end, over the last several weeks the label links have been consolidated, or more accurately, cleaned-up.

For example, all of the stories which reference "Council Member Pat Hume Fair Political Practices Commission Investigations" are now now classified simply under the "Pat Hume" label. When you click on the "Pat Hume" label, it will bring up all stories where Pat Hume is labeled.

Likewise, if you want to find stories which only reference "Council Member Pat Hume Fair Political Practices Commission Investigations" you can use the search box if the upper left hand corner of any page and it will draw only those stories with that or any other reference.
