Elk Grove to host spay and neuter workshop tonight

The Elk Grove Police Department Animal Services Unit will be hosting a community outreach event this event from 6 to 8:00 to p.m. to further thier joint mission of ending pet overpopulation. City staff would like to establish a City funded spay and neuter program and is asking for help with suggestions and comments of different program ideas that would best benefit the community.

Topics of discussion will include:

• Information regarding how this account is funded.

• What are the State’s requirements for the use of these funds.

• What programs have already received funding from this account.
