An Elk Grove man was arrested early Friday morning after he blocked a vehicle while on his bicycle.

According to police reports, officers were dispatched to Elk Grove Florin Road and Seirra Street after a cyclist was reported blocking a vehicle. As officers arrived, 19-year old Cody Jackson fled on his bicycle and officers gave chase and directed the suspect to pull over.

After the suspect refused to yield, a patrol vehicle was able to block Jackson's path. When officers attempted to detain the suspect, he activiely resisted.

After a brief struggle, Jackson was taken into custody where he was found to have displayed object signs of impairment. If convicted, Jackson would face a fine of up to $250.
