Suspects evade helicopter search

Two young men robbed and viciously attacked a man late yesterday afternoon in Elk Grove.
According to Elk Grove Police Department reports, the 58-year old male victim was sitting in his vehicle on the 2400 block of Elk Grove Boulevard when he was confronted by two unknown male suspects. One of the suspects, who was armed, struck the victim in the head by an unknown object, possibly the butt of the gun.

After striking the victim, the two suspects dragged the victim out of his car and took his personal property. The suspects fled the area on foot.

After an extensive search of the area that included the use of a helicopter, the suspects were not located. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The suspects were described as a Black male and a Hispanic male approximately 16 to 20 years of age and were both wearing dark clothing.

Typical Elk Grove trash. What a shame what has become of a once very nice small town.
