Yet another blow to USPS
Elk Grove residents can now save time and money when paying a utility bill thanks to a new online billing program introduced today.
Online billing allows City of Elk Grove customers the ability to view and pay utility bills around-the-clock with the click of a mouse. The new program benefits customers by reducing labor-intensive paper shuffling and the hard costs of check printing and postage.
In addition, online billing supports the City’s green initiatives by reducing paper use and miles driven to City Hall for bill payments.
“Exceptional customer service is a high priority at City Hall,” Mayor Steven Detrick said. “We’re constantly introducing new tools and technologies to streamline processes, reduce costs and make it as easy as possible to do business with the City of Elk Grove.”
Online billing is free for City of Elk Grove utility bill customers. Benefits include:
For those not comfortable with eliminating the paper bill, customers can receive both paper and electronic bills. After enrollment, preferences can be modified at any time.
