A graduate of Elk Grove's Franklin High School had a notable week as Utah State's quarterback in their latest victory.

Junior quarterback Adam Kennedy was 12-of-16 passing for 123 yards with a career-high three touchdowns, and added a career-best 95 yards rushing on 15 carries, in leading Utah State to a 24-21 win at New Mexico State Saturday.

Kennedy nearly matched his rushing total of the season entering the game, as he had 133 yards rushing on the season. Kennedy’s three touchdown passes on the day marks his fourth multi-touchdown passing outing in the last five games.

A junior college transfer from San Joaquin Delta College, Kennedy graduated from Franklin High School in 2009.
