Being Vice President of the United States has not always be seen as a way to gain the Presidency. In fact FDR's first Veep, John Nance Garner described the job as "not being worth a bucket of warm piss."

So on this day where we are supposed to honor our Presidents, lets not forget those who have been a heart beat away from leading the free world.
