The City of Elk Grove has scheduled a special meeting of the City Council for this Thursday afternoon.
The regularly scheduled meeting on the fourth Wednesday of each month had previously been cancelled. Mayor Jim Cooper and council members Steve Detrick and Pat Hume are participating in the annual Cap to Cap lobbying trip organized by the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce and would not be back from Washington D.C. to have a quorum for a Wednesday meeting.

There will be one item in the public agenda and that will be to approve a $4.6 million contract with Bobo Construction for the special waste collection center and disposal lane project. The council will also discuss the possible litigation against the city during a closed session.

Thursday's meeting starts an 5:00 p.m.

They Council better get approval from the EGCC before they vote. Or you may have them after you again.
