Elk Grove Police arrested a Sacramento man early Saturday morning who was involved in a particularly vicious domestic violence incident.

According to Elk Grove Police, 25-year-old Sanghar Roth and his victim were at a party when they began arguing. After they left the party, Roth allegedly punched his victim twice in the face with a closed fist and pushed the victim our of the car while it was moving.

The victim called for help and returned to the residence where the party was held. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment for visible injuries after giving a statement to responding officers.

As the officers were leaving the residence, the suspect drove by and officers pursued him and attempted to make an enforcement stop. The pursuit ended a short distance away near Bruceville Road and Machado Ranch when Roth collided with a fence.

After a short foot pursuit Roth was detained by officers and arrested. Roth was released on bail from the county jail on Saturday.
