Field grows to six in race for Elk Grove's first elected mayor
Late this afternoon the Elk Grove City Clerks office announce another Elk Grove citizen has drawn papers to enter Elk Grove's first mayoral race.
According to City Clerk Jason Lindgren, Charles S. Shanks has drawn papers to formally enter the November race. With his entry, there are five candidates who have formally entered the race and one other who has announced his intentions, Greg Higley, who has not formally drawn papers.
