In what should be an interesting race for Elk Grove's first directly elected mayor, Elk Grove Council Member and mayoral candidate Sophia Scherman can claim a first. It appears Scherman is the first of the seven candidates to place campaign signs touting her candidacy.

This sign is located on E. Stockton Blvd. just south of Elk Grove Blvd. Other Scherman for mayor signs  were also seen along Elk Grove Blvd. and Elk Grove-Florin Road. Undoubtedly other signs will be popping up like weeds all over town.

Sophia Scherman in violation of the elections code. She is 13 days too early. I wonder what the fine is for putting up signage early.

The elections code is specific, 90 days before and 15 days after to take them down.

Our city will soon be saturated with campaign signs as it is.

Apparently our zoning code is different than the elections code by which most of the cities in the region abide. Not Elk Grove!

This needs to be changed!

So why does Sophia Gonzales Sherman keep changing her name? I believe it says something about her character.
