In a week that already saw an Elk Grove pot house robbed, Elk Grove Police made arrests yesterday in two separate pot house discoveries.
The first incident happened early Wednesday morning following a disturbance on the 9200 block of Herbon Way. Officers who responded to a disturbance there contacted 21-year old Brock Johnson of Elk Grove and smelled a strong marijuana odor coming from the residence.
A records check revealed that Johnson was on probation and a search of the residence revealed growing operation with 150 marijuana plants, a scale and packaging materials. Johnson was arrested and taken to the county jail.
Johnson remains in custody with a $130,000 bail on four charges including unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine.
The second set of arrests came early last night as the result of a fire reported on the 8300 block of Lake Willow Way. During the process of extinguishing the fire, firefighters from the Cosumnes Community Service District discovered a marijuana growing operations.
Elk Grove Police secured the residence and obtained a search warrant and discovered approximately 200 plants. While officers were at the residence, 52-year old Yanqun Tan and 55-year old Ruji Fang returned to the residence where they were arrested.
Both men remain in custody on $10,000 bail and face charges for growing and distributing marijuana and stealing electricity.

All charges were dropped. There was absolutely no methamphetamine or ad a matter of fact anything illegal at the home and Mr. JOHNSON was not connected to the fire or home involved in any way. All was proved to be medicinal.
