UPDATED 11:55 a.m - Grow operation under investigation

Occupants of an Elk Grove Pot house were bound and robbed yesterday morning.

According to Elk Grove Police reports, three unknown Asian males forced their way into a house on the 8600 block of Heritage Hill Drive and once inside, displayed a gun and restrained the occupants with duct tape.

The suspects ransacked the residence removing personal property and a large quantity of marijuana that had been growing inside the home. When the suspects left, they stole a rental car (VW Jetta 6TBP134) from the location.

According to Elk Grove Police Spokesperson Officer Christopher Trim, there are two investigations underway regarding the theft and the grow operation.

"At this time, there isn’t any indication that the marijuana was being grown “legally”. With that said, these investigation will parallel each other," Trim said in an Email. "At this time, an arrest has not been made related to the grow."
