The Elk Grove Police Department is asking for the community’s help in identifying a suspect involved in two bank robberies in consecutive days.

At 5:13 p.m. yesterday, the suspect entered the Schools Credit Union at 8255 Laguna Blvd. and approached a teller handed the teller a note demanding money. Fearing for their safety, the teller complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. The subject took the money then exited the bank on foot.

According to a witness, the suspect was last seen driving away in a white Mazda 3 hatchback with custom rims. At 11:32 this moring, the same suspect entered the Golden 1 Credit Union at 9600 Bruceville Rd. and handed the teller a note demanding money.

Fearing for their safety, the teller complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency. The suspect exited the credit union and fled on foot and no vehicles were seen leaving the location.

The suspect was described as an Asian male adult, 20-25 years of age, 5’6”, one 190 lbs. and wearing a red baseball cap with the letter “C” in white, a gray hooded zippered sweatshirt, black jogging pants with a white stripe and black and white tennis shoes. Today, the suspect was also wearing sunglasses.

Anyone with information regarding these robberies is asked to call the Elk Grove Police Department Detective Bureau at (916) 478-8060 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP (4357). Callers to Crime Alert can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00. Tips can also be sent via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on a cell phone, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message.
