"You were chosen because we believe your principals (sic) are in line with that of our members and that you will treat workers fairly if elected to office," said AFSCME Local 258 President Jennifer Ballerini in a letter received by Rambo Wednesday evening.
Rambo, who was appointed to the board last spring to fill a vacancy, is facing challenger Steve Ly.
"I am grateful for the support of the men and women in our classified workforce," Rambo said. "This endorsement is validation of the hard work I have done in my time on the board to restore relationships with our bargaining units. As the son of a former EGUSD classified employee, I know the important role each employee plays in the safe education of our kids."

This is an interesting endorsement given the fact that the other Sacramento Labor Unions have lined up with Steve Ly. The endorsement from the district employees is significant as they will be in negotiations at at sometime with the district managers and the board.
