An armed gunman robbed this Elk Grove gas station late Friday afternoon.
Another Elk Grove business was robbed at gunpoint late Friday afternoon.

The most recent armed robbery happened at the Shell gas station on East Stockton Blvd and Bond Road. According to police reports, an unknown male suspect entered the gas station and asked the clerk for a pack of cigarettes. While the employee rang up the sales and the robber gave the clerk money for the item, he pulled out a handgun and told the clerk to step back.

The robber then reached into the register and removed an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the store on foot. The robber was described as a black male adult, 5`10", 240 pounds, approximately 35 to 40 years old, wearing a black baseball hat, a black shirt, a black jacket black, with gray pants and white shoes.

The clerk was not injured and responding officers were unable to locate the robber.
