Assembly Member Dr. Richard Pan will conduct a workshop to help students and their families apply for state and federal grants at a Cash for College workshop in Elk Grove this Sunday.

With the California Dream Act now state law, the workshop will help many students be the first generation in their families to go to college in California. After a presentation and orientation, students and families will be instructed on how to fill out grant applications and then volunteers will help them navigate the online application process with on-site computers.

The workshop will start at 1 p.m. and is being held at the Franklin Community Library, 10055 Franklin High Road, Elk Grove.

Spanish and Punjabi bilingual volunteers will be available for assistance as needed.
