On thursday, May 2, at 2:37 p.m., the suspect (photo above) approached a teller and handed a note demanding money. Fearing for her safety, the teller complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.

The suspect was described as an African American male adult, thirty to forty years of age (30-40), six feet tall (6’0”) with a thick build. The suspect was wearing a tan canvas fishing-type hat, a white or tan long-sleeve button-front shirt, khaki shorts, white socks and white athletic shoes.

Anyone with information regarding this robbery is asked to call the Elk Grove Police Department Detective Bureau at (916) 478-8060 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP (4357).  Callers to Crime Alert can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00.  Tips can also be sent via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on a cell phone, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message.
