A routine traffic stop yesterday morning led to the arrest of two Sacramento men who were reportedly found in possession of stolen checks and credit cards.
A routine traffic stop yesterday morning led to the arrest of two Sacramento men who were reportedly found in possession of stolen checks and credit cards.
According to Elk Grove Police, a car being driven by 26-year old Anthony Leyva was stopped on the 10400 block of Grantline Road for a vehicle code violation. A records check revealed the car Levya was driving had been reported stolen and that he had an outstanding arrest warrant.
A vehicle search led to the discovery of stolen credit cards, checks and Social Security cards. A passenger in the car, 28-year old Darryl Labat, was found to be in possession of narcotics paraphernalia.
Both suspects were arrested and taken to the county jail where they remain in custody.
