An Elk Grove women was arrested yesterday morning after an apparent road rage incident.

According to Elk Grove Police, 29-year old Jonique Green allegedly cut off a female driver near Bellaterra and Terazzo Drives. Green reportedly exited her vehicle and went to the car where the victim was seated and struck her several times with a closed fist.

During the altercation, the suspect took the victim's cell phone and went back to her vehicle. As the victim approached Green's vehicle in an attempt to get her cell phone back, Green allegedly drove off dragging the victim approximately 10 feet on the roadway.

Green then threw the cell phone out of the car and drove away. While responding officers were speaking with the victim, the suspect returned to the scene where she was arrested and taken to the county jail where she is being held on $50,000 bail for robbery charges.

Both parties suffered minor scratches as a result of the altercation.
