A woman using her laptop computer at a bus stop was robbed and attacked early last night in Elk Grove.

According to Elk Grove Police, the 21-year old victim was sitting on a bench on the 9000 block of Bruceville Road using her laptop computer when she was approached by an unknown suspect. The suspect grabbed the computer and the victim attempted to hold on to it.

During the struggle, the suspect pushed the victim causing her to hit her head on a wall. The suspect then took the computer and fled on foot through the park. The suspect was observed getting into a gray Volkswagen Golf GTI that was being driven by an unknown person.

The victim suffered a minor injury to her finger. The suspect was described as a Hispanic or white male adult, 20-22 years old, wearing a black jersey with red numbers and beige shorts.

These are the type of problems that happen as you grow. With size, comes crime. Unfortunately as this city grows bigger and bigger as our city's leaders desire, so will the crime. It is scary that these assaults on young ladies are happening more frequently.
