Elk Grove City Council candidate Nancy Chaires announced a new endorsement in her bid for the city's District 4 seat.
Nancy Chaires.

Chaires, who is an Elk Grove Planning Commissioner, announced the endorsement of California Assembly Dr. Richard Pan. Previously Chaires has been endorsed by Elk Grove City Council Member Jim Cooper and Cosumnes Community Services Director Rod Brewer.

In his endorsement Pan noted Chaires' commitment to public service. “I know that Nancy is an articulate champion for the people of Elk Grove and is a good listener who will bring energy, inclusiveness, and accountability to the city council,” he said.

Chaires is seeking the seat that is currently occupied by Bob Trigg who was appointed to fill the seat formerly occupied by Gary Davis who vacated it upon his election to mayor of Elk Grove. At the time of his appointment, Trigg said he would not seek election to the seat in November, 2014.

Currently Chaires is the only declared candidate for the seat.

Shocker.... Do they all get together and pat each others back and say "you're great, no you're great"

Pan, Cooper, Davis, Chaires, etc... Pretty much the same person, ineffective, party line voting, bought and sold politicians. Somebody else please enter this race.

We need some new blood that's for sure. Someone who hasn't been involved in city politics before. Voters should be not only interested in what will likely be Ms. Chaires record setting fundraising effort, but also the source of those funds.

Just wondering if Chaires has been "introduced" to Gil Moore yet??
