Elk Grove Vice Mayor Jim Cooper reported receipt of $3,000 on his Elk Grove campaign financing disclosures for the six months ending December 31, 2013.

According to his statements which were filed this morning, Cooper received two donations from California AT&T Employees PAC for $500 and California Real Estate PAC for $2,500. Cooper's Elk Grove account ended the year with $2,981.

Much of Cooper's recent fundraising activities focused on his race for the California Ninth Assembly District race. According to information posted on the California Secretary of State's website, as of November 27, 2013, Cooper had raised $52,838 and had $50,486 on hand.

Among Cooper's assembly race donors are $1,000 from fast food and gas station developer Gil Moore, $2,500 from Phillip Carter of PMC Sierra Inc., $2,500 from MV Transportation and $5,000 from St. Anton Management Inc.

Cooper is in a four way race for the assembly seat being vacated by Dr. Richard Pan and is favored to face fellow Democrat Darrell Fong in the November general election.
