Elk Grove Police apprehended two men suspected of a home burglary last night.

According to police reports, officers were dispatched to the 8800 block of Yarmouth Court following an alarm call. Upon arrival, officers saw 21-year old Ruben Miguel Morin of Stockton and a 17-year old male running from the backyard of the residence.

While officers were able to immediately detain Morin, the juvenile suspect fled into the neighborhood but was captured after officers established a perimeter.

Officers determined the duo gained entry by breaking a sliding glass door in the back of the residence. Several items taken during the burglary were located inside a pillowcase in the front yard.

Morin was arrested and taken to the county jail where he remains in custody on $50,000 bail while the 17-year old suspect was booked into juvenile hall.

"Stronger neighborhoods" one circling sheriff's helicopter, a fleeing juvenile, and a stuffed pillowcase in the front yard, at a time.

Good thing for the burglar alarm! Contrary to some of their residents views, even Camden is not immune to the South Sacramentization of EG.

35th Safest City: You post the same, tired, boring, unoriginal and dumb comment every time there is a story about a crime in Elk Grove, even when the police have done a great job and arrested the criminals. Can you not give our police force some credit? If you know of any community that has zero crime, why don't you move there? And as for your comments, how about you stop posting them and we will all read the article and just know, word for word, what your comment would have been.
