The Elk Grove-South County Democratic Club will vote on endorsements this Wednesday for Sacramento County District Attorney's and California State Assembly Ninth District races.

The club will vote to endorse either Jim Cooper, Darrell Fong or Diana Rodriguez in the race to succeed Democratic Assembly Member Dr. Richard Pan who is seeking the California State Senate seat being vacated by Darrell Steinberg. The three Democrats will face two Republicans in the June primary with the top two finishers, regardless of party affiliation, advancing to the November general election.

All three Democratic candidates have been invited and are expected to give presentations prior to the vote.

The club will also vote on their endorsement for the Sacramento County District Attorney's race. Although a non-partisan race, candidates Maggy Krell and Todd Leras are both seeking the endorsement from the club. At last month's club meeting Leras spoke to the group while Assembly Member Dr. Richard Pan spoke on behalf of Krell.

The meeting will be held at the Elk Grove Public Library and starts at 6:30 p.m.

Todd Leras is by far the better candidate. He actually took the time to come to the meeting unlike Krell who couldn's find the time.

Anyone have a followup as to which candidates this group endorsed?
