A Sacramento woman was arrested yesterday afternoon after she took a novel approach to avoid apprehension for suspected shoplifting.

According to Elk Grove Police, 30-year old Amy Acero was allegedly observed shoplifting by a store employee at the Elk Grove Blvd. Walmart. When Acero was approached by a store employee after leaving the store, she reportedly become combative and in an attempt to avoid being detained, attempted to bite the employee. 

The store employee reportedly physically restrained the suspect until police arrived. Acero was arrested on felony and robbery charges and taken to the county jail where she remains in custody on a $50,000 bail.

Walmart ought to hold a national training seminar on loss prevention at that store. There's an event to can us a destination city!

That was my fiance who apprehend her. I'm so proud of him and yeah she attempted but didn't do anything.

This person has been shoplifting from all other retail stores as well. I'm employed with Target and have dealt with her she was hostile and threatened to "poke my eye out." People like her don't deserve to be out in the public she never seems to change her ways. If anything the employee responsible for bringing her down did the city a favor! Good work to whoever the lpo was it's obvious they know what they are doing
