EGN Contributor Dan Bacher Honored

Dan Bacher, a regular contributor to Elk Grove News and a host of other websites and publications, will be inducted into the California Outdoors Hall of Fame.
The induction for Bacher, and two others, will be part of the Sacramento International Sportsmen’s Exposition at Cal Expo, which runs Thursday through next Sunday.
As editor of the highly regarded Fish Sniffer for over 30-years, Bacher is known for his tireless advocacy for protecting fisheries. In a San Francisco Chronicle story on Bacher's induction, it was noted he "writes a far-reaching column that appears on websites and in newspapers and e-mail lists across the western United States. He takes on politicians, government agencies and their appointed directors, corporate agribusiness interests and big oil companies — “anybody who does harm to California’s natural resources and fisheries,” Bacher said."
