A Wednesday morning traffic stop by Elk Grove Police led to the arrest of person suspected of possessing and selling narcotics.

According to police reports, 40-year old Jennifer Rose Valadez of Hood was operating a car that was stopped on the 9900 block of Firethorn Way for a vehicle code violation. Upon contact, Valadez was allegedly found to be in possession of an unspecified controlled substance.
A search of the suspect's car led to the discovery of additional narcotics and indicia of sales. Valadez was arrested and booked into the county jail.
She remains in custody on $75,000 bail charged with HS 11351 which generally includes sale of controlled substances such as cocaine, heroin, opiates, codeine and vicodin and will be arraigned tomorrow.
