This coming Friday night, Elk Grove's newest microbrewery will be celebrating its grand opening.

Flatland Brewing Company, which has been in the process of converting the operations of the former HandCraft Brewing, will open its doors to the public this coming Friday afternoon. Between 3 and 9 p.m., Flatland will be pouring a variety of their beers including Hop Hype IPA, Post Hop IPA, and Red Rye, and a food truck will be onsite between 5 and 9 p.m.

Flatland brewer and owner Andrew Mohsenzadegan, whose slogans are “Small batch, huge impact” and “Be social, drink local,” said he is excited to offer his brews and educate guests about various styles of beer. Once Mohsenzadegan is past the grand opening, he said Flatland will, among several activities, participate in Sacramento's Beer Week and regularly host food trucks.

"We envision members of the community coming to enjoy our brews in a casual, comfortable setting," Mohsenzadegan said.  "We cannot wait to share our joy of quality products and ingredients with others."

Regular hours will be Thursday and Fridays, 3-8 p.m.; Saturday 12-8 p.m.; growlers will be available soon. Flatland Brewing is located at 9138 Survey Road, Elk Grove.
