Elk Grove Woman Assaulted, Robbed in Her Own Garage

May 9, 2016 |

An Elk Grove woman was robbed and assaulted while inside her garage early Friday night.

Shortly after 7 p.m. the victim was loading items into her car in her garage on the 8300 block of Dandelion Drive on the city's north central side near Sacramento when the first of two unknown assailants grabbed her from behind by the neck and tried to cover her face.  The second suspect started searching the garage and grabbed her purse from inside the vehicle.

The first assailant then punched and kicked the victim before grabbing a messenger bag.  Both suspects fled the location and were last seen driving away in a silver vehicle.

Responding officers were unable to locate the suspects who were wearing dark clothing. Both bags were later recovered after they were found by uninvolved parties and the victim sustained minor injuries.
