On Thursday, October 6, among the several arrests made by Elk Grove Police were a probationer allegedly in possession of metal knuckles and another suspected of dealing marijuana.

At 3:13 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle being driven by 32-year old Ashton Hawkins of Elk Grove near Black Swan Drive and Charolais Way for a vehicle code violation. A records check revealed that Hawkins is on probation.

A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of metal knuckles. Hawkins was arrested and booked into the county jail charged with violation of probation and possession of metal knuckles. Bail has been set at $40,000 and arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday, October 11.

Police also arrested 44-year old John T. Pham yesterday morning on the 7900 block of Renton Way in Sacramento on suspicion of possession of marijuana with the intention for distribution. Pham has a $500,000 bail but is not eligible for release. Arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday, October 11.
