Chaires Espinoza Endorsed by Former Calif. Supt. of Instruction Eastin in Elk Grove School Race

Elk Grove Unified School District Trustee Nancy Chaires Espinoza's candidacy for the district's Area 6 seat has been endorsed by former California State Superintendent of Public Education, Delaine Eastin. 

"Supporting appropriate funding of public schools is a top priority for me and so is supporting those that agree about the value of our public local schools on the future of our children," Eastin said. "Trustee Nancy Chaires Espinoza certainly understands that. She is someone that over her career and public service continues to demonstrate that she puts children first." 

Chaires Espinoza, who was appointed the board in 2015, is seeking a four year term. She is being challenged by Elk Grove resident Marlon Hill. 

Eastin joins current State Superintendent of Education Tom Torlakson and her successor Jack O'Connell in endorsing Chaires Espinoza for the Elk Grove Unified School Board.
