Lodi Pedestrian Hit By Car, Killed in Early Morning Accident

A vehicle versus pedestrian collision in Lodi claimed a life early this morning. 

At approximately 2:24 a.m. Lodi Police responded to an accident near the intersection of Lower Sacramento Road and Lodi Avenue. Officers located the male victim in the roadway with severe injuries and after life saving techniques were attempted, the victim succumbed to his injuries, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The Lodi Police Major Accident Investigation Team responded and took over the investigation. The driver of the vehicle was determined not to be under the influence at the time of the collision.
