Probationer With Arrest Warrants in Custody, Suspected of Street Racing Stolen Car

June 21, 2018 |

A probationer with outstanding arrest warrants is cooling his heals in the Sacramento County Jail after he was picked up by Elk Grove Police on suspicion of street racing a stolen car.

Just after 10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, a police officer observed a street race between two cars near Elk Grove and Franklin boulevards. When the officer attempted to stop the vehicles, one of the drivers did not comply and instead fled.

After a vehicle pursuit, the driver of that car, Kenneth Oryan Linden (pictured above), 34, of Sacramento abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. With the assistance of a Sacramento Sheriff Department's helicopter, Linden was located in a nearby park.

A record check revealed that not only was Linden on probation, he also had outstanding arrest warrants. A search of the car determined that it had been reported stolen.

Linden is being held on seven felony and two misdemeanor charges and is not eligible for bail. Arraignment is scheduled for Friday, June 22.
