On occasion, politicians face will face a dilemma. This year, at least one member of the Elk Grove City Council will face one as they seek another term in office.

This year Pat Hume, the second-longest-tenured member of the city council faces a quandary.

Pat Hume’s principles and conscience may bother him for a minute, but he will ultimately do what the developers want. Steve Detrick will follow suit after those same developers put lots of money into his campaign account. Will we see more contributions from Brian “The $10K Man” Cooley in the near future?

IMO, these two Trump Republicans appear to be following in the footsteps of their Supreme Leader trying to make “Elk Grove Great Again” by approving more rooftops and more taxes to keep their special interest “friends” extremely happy and the people of Elk Grove be damned.
