Thanks to the ability of Elk Grove Police dispatchers, two suspects wanted in connection with a robbery where a store employee was threatened with a stun gun were apprehended.

On Sunday, October 28, dispatchers received a call from a resident about a reckless driver in the area of Altameda Place and Monterey Oaks Drive. Two dispatchers remembered a vehicle matching the above description, a green Jeep, that was used during an earlier robbery at Dicks Sporting Goods on Laguna Boulevard.

In that incident on Tuesday, October 23, two suspects took over $2,000 worth of merchandise and when confronted by store employees, they threatened the use of a stun gun.

Responding officers located the vehicle and detained the three occupants in the vehicle. Through further investigation, two of the occupants were identified as the robbery suspects from Dick’s Sporting Goods.

They were identified as 19-year-old Cherridy Coulter, 19, of Citrus Heights and Laviesha Williams, 22  of Antelope. Coulter and Williams were arrested and then transported to the main jail. Coulter remains in custody at the county jail.
