Mark Graham penned these comments and circulated them around looking to snag some supporters. I heard him read those comments verbatim during the last City Council meeting and it was like talking to a wall (with the 3-minute bell clanging away in the background!). Nevertheless, Mr. Graham's comments successfully snagged one political supporter--MacKenzie Weiser of the Planning Commission.

Call me politics-fatigued, but here's how I see this...Ms. Weiser performed a political calculation, much like her calculation to join the Mayor Steve Ly 'abused-me too' troupe, and decided it was to her political advantage to appeal to the health of school children for vote banking when she runs for City Council.

Like the past, present and future Planning Commissioners who attempt to use the Planning Commission as a stepping stone to City Council, be aware that the entirety of your voting record will still be under scrutiny. Voting "Yes" on everything that passes your way may have worked in the past, but I'm not sure it will work anymore.

The little people are getting restless and when they decide to flex their political muscle, the old guard better not let the door hit them in the behind on the way out.

I don't know who is Butch or who is Sundance (DJ and the Capt.) but once again an EGN voice of reason has hit the mark!

Sundance Kid: "You just keep thinkin' Butch. That's what you're good at."

Butch Cassidy: "I get sick being right all the time." In this case, not a chance!
