For years, Elk Grove City Council members opposed bringing Sacramento Regional Transit's Light Rail to the city. In the last several years, however, the sentiment has changed.
During the October 3 candidate forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Sacramento County, State Senate candidates Angelique Ashby and Dave Jones were asked how as a State Senator they could help Elk Grove obtain light rail service.
