Pedestrian killed in Elk Grove hit and run incident

Elk Grove Police report a pedestrian was killed this morning in what is described as a hit-and-run incident. 

Police have closed West Stockton Blvd. between Whitelock Parkway and Kyler Road, in the area adjacent to the Sky River casino. The incident, which is under investigation, happened at approximately 5:15 a.m. 

The victim's name will be released by the Sacramento Coroner's office. Police did say the victim was a male. 

No further information has been provided by the police. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Elk Grove Police Department.  

West Stockton Blvd. between Kyler Rd. and Whitelock Parkway will be closed for an unknown amount time while we investigate a fatal hit and run involving a pedestrian.
